Hi, I am running a Huawei e160e modem with Internode.
I am not sure about your modem, but mine is also a storage device, when 
plugged in it
puts an icon on Desktop as if it is a CD in your drive. If so you will 
need to "eject' this
before doing your wireless setup. Don't know about Adam, but for me the 
setup was very simple.
But I did need to eject the "CD Icon" on my desktop, as the computer 
"sees" the dongle as a
storage device first. Once setup it's not necessary to eject this. 
(storage device only works with Windows, have never tried it though)
