Something does not compute here.
Even if your own monitor may not be recognised I cannot see how it won't
even recognise 2 other monitors including a brand new Dell out of the box.
Did you do these tests with that xorg.conf file sitting on your system?
Whatever is in this file will override any auto detects by the new xorg
on boot-up.
Get rid of that file (rename it at least) and then see if your monitors
are detected - let the new xorg do its job.
If it still doesn't then file a bug report.
