Using an external mike and external speakers usually causes feedback, so
I would suggest a good USB headset, first. Irregardless, crank up
pavucontrol, ~~while in skype~~, to insure that it is using the correct
input/output ports. Skype worked out of the box using a USB headset for
me. The newer version of Skype uses pulse just dandy. Ric
