10.10 is pretty stable, 10.04.1 is pretty stable too. I am using both in
two laptops. If you do not plan to stay at 10.04.1 LTS until 12.04 LTS
gets released, I suggest you go to 10.10.
Also, if you are using ext4 with 9.04, you have to reformat it, because
9.04's ext4 is problematic, and you may lose data. If you are using ext4
under 9.04, tell me and I will give you more info on this.
