Install a library in a diferent adreess?

Are you having problems with the stock versions of libsdl and
libsdl-mixer? They work just fine for some of the games I have
installed. Warzone2100 is heavily dependent on them. It works just fine,
even from a tarball, with the already packaged versions that you can
apt-get. Just asking, Ric
