Alright! :-)

On the workspace/desktop hit ALT-F2 and type in "alsamixergui".

Go to the extreme far right of the displayed settings and activate
"Audigy Analog Ouput Jack" - that is, make the two "loudspeaker" icons
at the top go from white to grey (by clicking on the entry). This will
activate the jack. You should now have full sound.

While you are in alsamixergui you may want to fiddle with the rest of
the settings to get the volumes up or down, whatever.

It makes it more easier to do all this if you have something active
which is using the sound card. For example, with me, I have the TV card
working and can then adjust the setting in alsamixergui to get the
volume I want.[1]

(No attempt to confuse you here but simply and addendum: why I am
suggesting that you use alsamixergui here is that you could also from
the terminal "alsamixer" which is 'text' version of alsamixergui but
where it is not as clear to make out the setting for Audigy Analog
Output Jack.

Once you have this all going we can talk about any further adjustments.....\
