Well, I see your point. I was kinda placing the quad scenario somewhere
between norm and unusual. My error may be in my definition. Unusual is
"Not being usual" which I guess it is. I would consider it not "Unheard of
though".

I have not contacted Nvidia. I actually gave up on this. I googled quite a
bit finding people with the same compatibility issue with 2+ setups spanning
multiple years. Many posts stated that there was doubt that the
compatibility issue would be fixed.

Lol. I didn't mention that this machine originally had the OS on a Raid0
(ich10r fake raid) comprised of two 300GB 10K Velociraptors. Ubuntu would
not see the raid0 but would see stand alone drives on the same chipset. I
sacrificed and broke the raid to install to one velociraptor.
