Screensaver lock asks for password 2 or 3 times

I've also seen this on Lucid from time to time. It was always caused by
two gnome-screensaver processes running. Killing one of them got me back
to normal behaviour. But I failed to see a pattern when or why that
happened - both screensavers seemed to be started at the same time.
I wasn't annoyed enough to trace that down. And since I installed
Maverick (keeping my /home) this hasn't happened to me any-more.
Therefore, I can't be of much help, sorry.
