Verizon cellular access & Ubuntu

I just got back from the Verizon store (4 doors down from my workplace) 
and they are selling USB760 and Mifi 2200.

With the USB760, from a quick google search, it looks like I don't have 
anything to worry about.

I still don't know if I'm all that interested in the MiFi, even with my 
FUD appropriately dissolved.  I still like the idea of using the laptop 
as the WAN gateway.

'less I can get root on the on the MiFi :)
