that package doesn't seem to be in my 10.10 repos:
cybe at WizardsTower:~$ sudo apt-get install motif
[sudo] password for cybe:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package motif

There is motif-clients and libmotif3, the installation of which yields:
cybe at WizardsTower:~$ sudo updatedb
cybe at WizardsTower:~$ locate motif

Any help?
