What we do in-house is push everyone to an NGINX server that decides for
us.  When they tap the NGINX server if it detects a local IP from our
network it will push them to our servers, otherwise it will forward to
Ubuntu, this is only for laptops though, of course our desktops don't
ever leave the office and if they did we'd have more to worry about than
whether they make to the closest mirror.
