1 let's not drag up that issue again
2 from what I understand, Android is based on Linux and doesn't rely on
anything MS. I'm sure there are some utils that are out there for people to
use that help people interoperate with MS, but by no means required.
3 I'm using a Droid incredible which has an 8MP camera with dual LED flash
so it that's some of the best pics I've seen from a phone
4 I usually get the better part of a day with moderate to heavy use. It was
recently stated at Google I/O that you should get a day minimum.
5 That largely depends on the specific device. This phone is light and fits
very easily in my pocket. I could easily see myself getting the new EVO 4G
into my pocket.
6 again this largely depends on where you happen to be. What networks are
available there, etc.
I also like android for the Google integration of services I already use
like gmail and Google voice.
Of course this is just my opinion and I'm sure there are people that are big
fans of Nokia's OS as well.

Well first off I'd want one that didn't top post when answering messages...
See, that would be a very dumb phone rather than a smart one and show me as
being foolish. Second, it must not rely on anything microsoft. Third, it
should take and transmit good photos. Forth it needs to have decent battery
life. Fifth, it needs to fit decently into my pocket. Sixth, it needs to
work
wherever I happen to be. That takes care of the basic needs which I need a
phone for, anything else could be a plus but can not remove function from
any
of these six requirements.
