You're welcome. I don't understand what you've done but am glad that
my earlier post helped in some way.
FYI, "uuid..." is a ubuntuism; AFAIK, all other distributions use
"root (hdx,y)" and would not recognize a uuid line as valid, let alone
try to interpret it. But it should work to boot a 9.04 install...
I am not sure that "entertaining" is how I would describe Karl nor
that d-u would tolerate his posts.
