I have all my OS installed encrypted like this:
/boot on a partition of 100 mb unencrypted
/ on a partition of 30 gb encrypted

That means, that if I should edit grub2 in /etc which is sitting in the /
partition which is encrypted it would complicate matters, than just
having to edit menu.lst which is sitting in /boot which is not encrypted.

Just for your info.

See http://minihowto.org for installation of encrypted ubuntu.
