How to remove the package mouseemu on Lucid Lynx because keyboard doesn't respond.

If you have a recovery-mode option in your grub menu, select it,
followed by "drop to root prompt" in the next menu. From there you can
run "aptitude purge mouseemu".
If you do not have a recovery-mode option in your grub menu, select
your usual menu entry, press "e", arrow to the end of the "linux ..."
line, add "single" to the end of that line, press "ctrl-x", and you
will boot to the recovery-mode menu.
(If your box is set not to show a grub menu, press the shift key at
boot for it to display.)
