EEEPC 1005 microphone does not work

Hi,
Right click the sound icon select sound preferences,select input
tab-Increase the input volume to 70 % then try different input connector.if
still not working test microphone in a known good computer.
you may also want to try the ubuntu system testing utility from System -
administration - system testing.
