Looking For Info On Updating Firefox & Open Office

Exactly what the OP said.  If you want 3.6.2, you can't get it from the
Ubuntu repositories.

You can get some stuff, like security patches, within a week or two of when
they come out for the actual package, because it takes awhile to process
them and make sure that the changes Debian or Ubuntu introduced don't affect
the patch.
