error with java

I'd recommend you 'completely' ('purge' if from the terminal) remove
*all* the java packages you installed & then reinstall sun-java6-jre and
sun-java6-plugin. If you have both installed at the same time it is
quite possible that they are conflicting with each other w/regards to
the plugins.
