I tried that in one of my many attempts to get it installed. If I
recall correctly, if I did not format the partition it would display a
message saying it was removing the "other os files", it would than abort
and say that it could not do so.
Anyway I managed to get past this issue and now the install is 95%
complete but stopped because of grub-install issues.
