Installing Kbuntu on 9.10

The correct command (in Konsole) is:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

or

sudo aptitude install kubuntu-desktop

or, if you want a GUI to replace the command line:

fire up synaptic from System->Administration->synaptic
Search for kubuntu-desktop. When you have found it, right click on the
item and click on Mark For Installation.  Then click on the big tick at
the top and click on each window that shows.

Welcome!  Just remember Linux is not Windows, and has a different
structure and philosophy behind it.  There IS a lot to learn, but each
piece you learn is like a piece in a jigsaw - the more you can
understand the more that curve won't seem so sharp.
