4 pages per side when printing pdf files (solved)

   I got the answer from the cups mailing list: I had a file
   ~/.cups/lpoptions, which contained:

   Default sam Duplex=DuplexNoTumble number-up=4 orientation-requested=3 PageSize=A4

   I was not aware of the existence of this file, but replacing 4 by 1,
   or removing the file solved the problem.
