     Let me try to be easy to understand. The easiest way to setup YOUR 
wireless router is to use no security. Then anyone can use your wifi 
that can hear it. This will work most of the time, but in my case 
someone near found my unprotected wifi and went work surfing the web 
sites :-)

     So most people set up with a WPA/WPA2 simple password on their 
wireless router. You have to connect to the router to set this or change 
it. Once set every computer using your wifi has to send the proper 
password.

     On Ubuntu 10.04 I got wifi working with Network Manager! I was 
about to get the other software but it worked fine and is still working 
fine on my laptop. Just right click NM and chose wifi and look for your 
router. Then provide the password and it should work.
