nm-tool showing phony info?

I had never run across nm-tool until I saw it referred on this list.
I tried it and the line for my network was:

 *1600x160: Infrastructure Mode, Freq 2.437 MHz, Rate 62 Mb/s,
Strength 95%, Encrypted (WEP), Hidden

That's pretty strange because I originally configured the connection to
use WPA2 with AES. Also the network isn't hidden. I just verified the
settings on the router setup page (192.168.1.1 for a Linksys WRT54GL)
and they are as I set it up originally.

Anyone have an idea what's going on?
