Hello! You may add the Opera repository for Debian (it
installs DEB packages and run very well). Modify (with
privileges) the '/etc/apt/sources.list' file:

      Alt F2
      gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Add the following line at the end:

      deb http://deb.opera.com/opera/ lenny non-free

From the terminal, run these commands:

      sudo wget -O - http://deb.opera.com/archive.key | sudo apt-key add -
      sudo aptitude update
      sudo aptitude install opera

   And that is it. Enjoy!
