     I have the same problem with my 10.04 with a multiple stick reader 
that plugs into I think a single USB port.

     Googled MSI 123 and see your laptop is about to be replaced. How 
many stick plugs does your laptop have?


     It sure looks like this is a bug but it will be hard for anyone 
else to repeat. I will check around and see what I can find. Thank you 
for your message :-)
