Dual Boot, Twice?

Firkin, if you can boot into Lucid, not livecd....
at terminal, type
sudo grub-install /dev/sda

note: this will remove your grub4dos setup, but it's okay..

If you cannot boot....when at the second menu, ie..at heading
"GNU GRUB version 1.98-1Ubuntu5"
enter grub prompt - type 'c'
grub> search -f /vmlinuz
grub> search -f /vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-generic
grub> search -f /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-generic

at 2nd and 3rd query,(only one will give output), the output 'hd0,x'
grub> ls (hd0,x)

send us the output of all. Total of 4 queries.
