USB not automounting in 10.04

It is a 4GB USB flash drive that I have been using just fine up until
recent updates.  It works fine on my desktop which still has 9.10.  I
have been using it to move files between my desktop and the laptop.

I just checked my USB mouse and card reader.  Neither of these are
working as well.  When I had 9.10 on the laptop, all three had been
working.

The updates I did this evening included the 2.6.32-23 kernel.

Looking at device manager, these devices are showing up on the USB bus.
