question about NFS entries in /etc/fstab

I'd use something like 
remotename:/path        /wehere/your/mounting   nfs  rw,soft,tcp,bg,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3

that will sort you out no problems,you dont need to add the extra fields 
as they will default to 0, which they should be given you dont want to do 
things like dump and fsck remote shares
