How to install UNR on existing Ubuntu

The UNR environment is not "installed" as a session on a normal ubuntu
installation. Rather, it becomes the default for all the users :-(

I had installed it just so that I could ask new users to use that.
But, it does not allow me to keep my normal gnome session.
