What is the output of (on the Ubuntu box):

smbclient -I 127.0.0.1
and
smbclient -M DELL-UBUNTU
and
pdbedit -Lw

(By the way, the config file that you posted does not contain any shares.)


What does "the linux box is unable to even find itself" mean?
