Folks,

This is interesting . . . I've got a home environment of a WinXP, 9.04
Ubuntu, and 9.10 Ubuntu boxes. File sharing between all (via Samba) used
to work, then suddenly (about two weeks ago?) everything could "see" the
WinXP shares but nothing could "see" the Ubuntu shares (except the
directly associated box, of course).

        - Ubuntu 9.04 = Linux bob-ubuntu-desktop 2.6.28-16-generic
        #57-Ubuntu SMP Wed Nov 11 09:47:24 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

        - Ubuntu 9.10 = Linux acer-laptop 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu
        SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I've also noticed that when I log out and then back into both Ubuntu
boxes, shares that I had set up as Samba shares are longer set as Samba
shares (i.e., Samba shares are not persistent . . . the directories and
files continue to exist, but their association as Samba shares is lost.)

Any ideas?
