Strange Grub Problem / Error Message

> Yes, it was.  I finally just stuck in a Live CD,  copied everything to the
new Cruzer and did a reinstall of Ubuntu.  Cranked right up like it suppose
to after that.  It was unless to google those symbols in Ho:)' not
found?yl??*1?.  I do think the Cruzer had something to do with the Grub
corruption.  But that suspicion is probably due to a wrangle with U3 and
Ubuntu on another machine.
