Evolution: Calendar > Contacts > Birthdays & Anniversaries forgets displaying birthdays

Hi,

I have got a rather objectionable Evolution fault for more than a year:
Calendar > Contacts > Birthdays & Anniversaries forgets displaying
birthdays (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/evolution-data-server/+bug/246251).

I noticed that <NoOp> has reported a similar fault to Launchpad.

Is there a workaround?
