Unfortunately, there is no "best" application, because there are several
types of backup strategy and each has its best application.

Perhaps if you could better describe your own backup needs? You may not
realise this, but your question is rather vague. Perhaps if you could
write a little story about what you want? Don't laugh, this what is called
a "use case scenario" and it is needed to capture your functional system
requirements. Describe your "main success scenario", the so called "happy
path", and we will help you find and app that is closest to your
functional requirements.
