CD Copy Software Recommendation

I received a data cd today that I would like to copy.  Brasero gives me 
an option to create an .iso file, but that's not what I want. The only 
way I could make a copy with it was to copy the files to the hard disk 
and then drag them into the Brasero window to burn on a new disk 

Does anyone have any recommendations for software that would make a copy 
of the data on the disk without having to copy everything to the hard 
drive?  I abandoned Windows long enough ago now that I can't remember how 
it worked, but I seem to recall that when I inserted a disk with data 
already on it, I was given an option to copy the disk.  That's what I'd 
like to get for Ubuntu.  I'm running 9.10 and have access to a 9.04 
system.
