Hello Norman,
this may be a silly question, but did you install the driver with
System --> Administration --> Hardware Drivers?
You shall need Broadcom B43 (OS) or Broadcom STA (proprietary), I think
from a quick look at laptop specs.
You will need also firmware for the card.
Anyway, I suggest you first look through articles [1], [2] and
especially [3] for more instructions and check them against your wlan
config.
