And, actually, I run those on a server, but it's configured with Ubuntu
Desktop edition to enable remote VNC administration...
I'm not making any assumptions on his use of his machine... just saying
that there are many possible valid reasons to have MySQL running. It
could be a simple media player that stores data in an RDBMS, or some
local CRM, or payroll or ERP running on his workstation...
And... MySQL is only using 17% CPU.
His machine is in IO wait 30% of the time... that's more interesting.
Maybe read/write retries on the hard disk due to hardware errors?
