Lucid Lynx

I downloaded a Lucid Lynx 10.04 alfa .iso file and copied it
to a cd-rom in December 2009. This was kind of a lark since
never before had I tried an alfa version.

I got the 64 bit version also on a lark and it loaded fine on
my computer into it's own partition. In loading it did make a
grub2 which picked up all the other versions I have and I can
go way back to 8.04 without any problem.

The first weeks were touch and go. Lots of updates and a link
which was not there and ruined my update capability. I got the
exact link data from the list and now updates are coming very
fast every day. We are still in an alfa state, but I have this
to say about Lucid Lynx:

This is the best Ubuntu version I have used period! It is
working far better than other versions in their Beta versions
I have used.

I have been told not to call this stable. But it never
crashes and it comes up running every morning in great shape.
I can't wait to see how well the Beta version works!
