encourage the OP to search fo a "windows look alike distro from china".
So just *what* were you suggesting?

Don't know until he tries it. Seems to work just fine for me
w/2.4Ghz/1G. Obviously he may encounter issues with his particular
system, but he really won't know until he gives it a go. Will he?
