I bought a Linux Certified "desktop replacement" notebook a couple years
ago and have been happy with it. At the time, I was able to order it
with dual-boot between XP and Linux. The one glitch was that the XP
network driver didn't work, and the LC support folks weren't able to
figure out the problem. I ended up using a USB stick to transfer files
between XP and Linux until this got resolved.

Do you really need dual-boot, or can you run Windows inside VirtualBox?
