Yes but my 12 year old experience with windows was that the virus
protector was worse that the viruses. IT slowed my computer way down
and it caused MANY blue screens of death, almost daily. I removed it
and surfed with care until I found Linux. It really made my life
easier not to have it, but back then viruses were not so common even
on MS system and the computers were not as fast as now.
