files end with ~

This is a Linux standard way of keeping a copy of the previous version 
of any file you edit.  There is no problem.  There might be an option to 
turn off back-up files in Quanta.  delete simply with rm *~.  I would 
suggest making a little script (I call mine clean) so you never 
accidentally press enter key before the ~.
