USB printer not working

I am hainvg a USB printer lsusb shows


Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04a9:266a Canon, Inc. CAPT Device
when I fire print I do get a popup which asks where to print.
I select Canon LBP 3000 but then after waiting for loooooooooong time.
The satus is processing and I actually do not get any thing.
What do I post here.
I am using Lucid 64 bit.
 2.6.32-25-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 16 19:52:42 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
