I built it (on 32 bit) just by following the instructions on the Android 
website. I tested it by compiling the test app and running it on the 
emulator -it worked. Then I didn't touch it again (alas, I'd love to 
write Android stuff, but real work gets in the way). It seemed to work 
OK anyway. Perhaps if you describe in detail the problems, we can help.
