It will be a pleasure to help. You've got me going successfully with 
vlc, and xine sort of worked for a short while - to be investigated - , 
but my next challenge is to get it working under Win7. vlc works fine, 
but I'm not yet able to change from the default station. Double-clicking 
in the play list appears to change stations but no video is available.

This is obviously not an Ubuntu topic so I will go off-list from now on.
