Firstly, top posting is a huge no no. Even if you use :) it does not 
fool us haters (which happens to be most of the list). That said, make 
sure you reset back to Vesa before you replace: dpkg-reconfigure 
xserver-xorg just incase anything goes wrong of course, you are working 
with the default.
