Sigh... Yes you first extract/unzip/'tar zxvf' etc. & you'd still not be
able to use the command that you suggested:

$ sudo dpkg -i OOo_3.2.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz

You'll also note that once extracted/unziped/'tar zxvf'ed that the .gz
creates the /OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/
folders.

*Please* before you suggest such "simple" instructions, try them out
yourself first. Thanks.
