Hi Basil,

It is turned on or off via the menu View/Show Device Buttons. If you
have a lot of devices they will look scrambled. I would turn them off
and use instead Device List, although it does mean one more mouse
click. I recently got to know this app and like it too. After having my
konqueror messed up and then using Krusader for a while, now on
Gnome/Xubuntu I decided to try Gnome Commander and it seems fine so far
for my needs. I need to figure out how to set an application to run for
a file type as some of the defaults that GC uses I don't like, although
after recent reading on this list, I suspect that the setting may
actually be a Nautilus setting.
