installing codecs

I installed VLC, thanks for the tip.  I use it but did not realize it
included the codecs for mp3.  It does not include mp 4.  Are there any
other video formats it does not include?

Also, how can I install the printer drivers to the install cd?  Or
should I install them separately?  I might buy another flash drive and
install from there.  I think it is faster to install from a flash
drive.
