installing codecs

Gary, I just checked your first message in the thread, so as to be able
to help you.


You didn't specify which codecs you need, however there is a player that
plays almost all codecs in practice. It is called VLC.

VLC is available in Ubuntu repositories, and also it is available for
Windows if you check its web site:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/



So regarding Edubuntu, I think that you will only need the deb package
of VLC.
